Hello, I am Liam

I work as a project manager, am a parent, and I’m an expat based in Zurich, Switzerland.

A few years back I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter living abroad.

How It Started

Relocating to Switzerland wasn’t part of the long-term plan. Like many expat moves, it began as a work opportunity and quickly became something much bigger.

The first months were intense — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they should.

The Adjustment Period

There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually routines took shape. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt solid.

Why I Built FaleonBorilavi

Most online resources were either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was lacking was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.

This site aims to fill that gap with practical advice drawn from real-life experience in Switzerland.
